M.C. grew up in the rural Midwest—where cars get plugged in all winter, the only “dinner” is Sunday after church, and if you were headed to a potluck you took a hotdish and maybe some bars. She's a big fan of lefse, buts gives an adamant thumbs down to lutefisk.

She worked in the field of early education before not official retiring, but never going back to work. A period of nostalgia and homesickness derailed her plans for world domination. She ended up, of all things, a YA Romantic Comedy Author.

M.C. lives in the Rocky Mountain West and can't figure out how she survived where it was flat. She traded humidity for dry heat and scoffs at winter when it's not cold enough to make your nostrils stick shut.

She enjoys scrolling through TV watching options with Mr. D then agreeing with him, that there's nothing to watch. M.C. and Mr. D enjoy time with their first grandchild, oh yeah, and with their adult children.
